AI Integrations
Bring your transcripts into your AI workflow.
Connect a compatible AI client to your Cutwords projects and transcripts through MCP, the Model Context Protocol. Use that context to review content and plan your next edit.
How it works
- 01
Get the connection details
Open the AI integration settings in your Cutwords account. Use the provided MCP address and a personal API token with a client that supports this connection method.
- 02
Read your project context
The connector can list projects you own, list their videos and retrieve a video transcript. Ask your AI client to summarize an answer or identify passages relevant to a topic.
- 03
Make the edit in Cutwords
Use the analysis to decide what to keep, then return to Cutwords to edit and review the footage. The connector itself does not change the timeline or render video.
From transcript to editing plan
Ask your connected AI client to review an interview transcript for repeated explanations or pull together the passages discussing a particular subject. Use its response as a starting point, check the original footage for context, and make the final editing decisions in Cutwords. Client support and setup requirements vary; this page does not promise a native plugin for every AI product.
Read the editing guideCommon questions
- What can the connector access?
- Its current tools list projects owned by the authenticated user, list videos in an owned project and retrieve an owned video’s transcript. It does not expose editing or rendering tools.
- Is this a video editing plugin?
- It is a read-only MCP connection for project and transcript context. It does not turn an external chat or coding assistant into the Cutwords editor.
- What should I check before connecting?
- Your AI client must support the connector’s HTTP transport and bearer-token authentication. Keep the token private and consider the client’s data handling before sharing transcript content.
